Ten Bucks

Setup

Create one deck of “dollar bills” and deal each player X (to take into their hand).

The material for this game are just CARDS, perhaps DOMINO TILES, showing money in values 1–5.

Objective

You win the game once you have claimed 10(+) money.

Gameplay

On your turn, play one dollar bill from your hand to the table. Dollars with the same value are stacked. (Example: if there’s already a 2-dollar bill on the table, you place your 2-dollar bill on top of that.)

Then you’re allowed to claim a stack. Take one stack ( = all money of the same value) and place it before you.

There are, however, three rules to claiming.

  • You can’t claim a dollar value you claimed before, nor the value you just played.
  • If you create a stack that’s worth 5+ dollar on its own (summed), you must force someone (which can be yourself) to claim instantly.
  • You can never be more than 1 stack ahead of the player with the fewest stacks. (In practice, this means you have to wait until all other players have claimed too before you can claim again.)

Example: one player hasn’t claimed anything yet. You already have 1 stack. Then you can’t claim a 2nd one until that weakest player has claimed something.
