We Are (Not) Alone

All players are a team (of humans) trying to decipher where signals are coming from. Aliens are trying to do … something, land somewhere, and you must figure out everything:

  • Where will they go?
  • Are they friendly or hostile?
  • Can we communicate and negotiate with them?

All players have their own phones with which they can perform research, track signals to parts of the galaxy, steer their spaceship to new locations.

A general map of the whole universe is displayed on the screen. (Although only a part of it is visible at a time? And someone must “move” the horoscope or discover new areas to expand the screen?)

Could be very interesting if I manage to make the alien side an intelligent opponent. With varied strategies, varied ways of communicating or hiding their intentions.

  • Alternatively, some players could also be the alien faction, or there could be a traitor.
  • This would work well, except that everyone needs to be in the same room and watch the same screen … so how can you hide communication from the other team?

Turn it into a sort of “Escape Room” game, but trying to escape the aliens conquering our land?

Inspired by the “Watch The Skies” megagames.
