Cooperative “one paper game”. Everyone is on an island (randomly generated by the computer of course) and your only goal is to survive until you can leave (ending the game).
What’s unique?
- There’s an actual secret/mystery you need to solve to get off the island. (Maybe even multiple ones; each one opens a treasure, or door, or whatever.)
- This depends on the SEED for the game. To check if you’re correct, you need to input your board seed, and then the solution on the website.
- IDEA 2: Each player gets their own backpack. This is randomly generated by the computer and contains items that you somehow need to get off the island. It’s a small square/rectangle that you can cut off the board and hand to each individual player.
- IDEA 3: some rules are also different between games? For example, one game might say: “traveling across dirt roads costs 2 time”, and another “traveling across dirt roads is free, but you take one damage”
What’s the challenge?
Find a balance between survival and finding a way to leave the island. (Because you only have limited time and resources.)
What do I want from this game?
- Simultaneous play => just way faster, supports more players, keeps everyone more engaged. (This would mean there is a timer on this game and everyone acts simultaneously? Are players somehow separated both geographically and functionally, so they will never directly interfere with their actions?)
- Beautiful maps => nature, varied environments, logical places for survival (e.g. shelter can be found in rock formations)
- Practical rules => rules must be inspired by actual, practical survival tips. (Maybe even make notes/remarks about this in the rules.)
