Domino Drama

The idea is basically what if Kingdomino was a real-time game and/or a cooperative game?

In Kingdomino, you draw domino tiles to create your own little 5x5 kingdom. Every group of the same terrain scores its number of tiles times its number of crowns. (That’s the clever thing. You can build a very nice big forest … but if you have no crowns, that multiplier is 0 and you score nothing.)

As a real-time game,

  • Players could just be grabbing facedown tiles at the same time. Once grabbed, you have to instantly decide if you want to use the tile, or put it back faceup for someone else to pick.
  • Players might have a secondary task. Something else that actually gives them the money/power to grab more tiles for their kingdom later.

As a cooperative (or just “shared map”) game,

  • You might have a single shared board.
  • You start with just a single center piece.
  • Each player receives their own role(s).
    • This decides what tiles they can grab, how they can place them, and what tiles they score at the end.
    • Example: You score the OCEAN tiles. You must grab dominoes which have at least one OCEAN part. If you don’t, the domino you grabbed must be placed ADJACENT to an ocean domino.
