Haunted House

There’s a car traveling through a haunted house (attraction).

  • Each round, players plop down more tiles showing train track.
  • And then the car moves on.

The game ends when the car reaches the exit or it crashes. (It goes off map, or it crashed into something for the Xth time.)

Crucially,

  • The tiles also show scary things.
  • And the car moving around rotates so that the people constantly view different directions.

Why?

  • Whenever the people (inside the car/attraction) see something scary, your ghost meter goes up!
  • Whenever they see nothing / something not-scary, your ghost meter goes down.

You only win if the car reaches the exit and your ghost meter is just right. (Not too low, which means the attraction was not interesting, but also not too high, as it means you were “scared to death”.)

In summary, you’re constantly trying to …

  • Rotate the car so the people look into some direction.
  • Make sure scary stuff is placed there.
  • While building a track that slowly leads to the exit.
