A picture book about an alchemist: someone who knows a lot about plants, science, potions, and more. She uses all that to create all sorts of wonderful magical potions that do silly things … but exactly what she needs at the moment to solve a problem.
Interactive?
- The book gives clear colors/icons/names for all the different ingredients and potions.
- Because it provides little “puzzles” all the time asking children to find the right combinations and “invent” the potion themselves!
- Perhaps there could be some companion website in which you can enter your potions and see what comes out.
- (That would be a more simplified, cute version of Wondering Witches. With simpler shapes and softer colors, yet a much larger palette of ingredients.)
Note: The original Dutch title of this idea was Alchemist Achjee.
