All players have a series of points that they cycle through.
- Just press your button to go to next.
- (Maybe you can hold for “faster cycling”.)
Additionally, each player automatically “connects” (draws a line) to the two closest players.
All players together have to create the right shapes.
The points given to each player are chosen exactly such that they can create a triangle, a square, etcetera.
- We can simply show the shape we want and players try to copy.
- Or we can give it more theme, like having monsters with certain shapes approach from the edges, and when you create that shape they are all “vanquished”.
This idea was originally meant for my educational online store, a One Button Game to teach about Shapes. It’s a fine idea, but too complicated for the target audience. (They’d need to understand cycling through a fixed set of points and would need to find the PERFECT configuration, using all players, to create a shape. That’s a tall ask of any 4-year-old.) If made for an older audience, and themed around caging or encircling monsters with the right shape, it might work great.
