A simplified incremental-like game about running a hotel in the galaxy/on stars. Could also be called “Ten Star Hotel” or however many stars you need to complete to beat the game.
- After “fulfilling/beating” one star, the next one unlocks (you’re now literally a 2-star hotel), and so on until done.
- Your goal (to “fulfill/beat” a star) is to attract “stars”, which are notorious high-prestige visitors (humans? aliens? animals?) of a certain levle.
- Which you do by fulfilling all their wishes, of course.
Could be educational if we include actual elements of OUTER SPACE. (Planets, rocket travel, meteor showers, oxygen needed, light from sun, etc)
@IDEA: An incremental game where your upgrades are about buying certain TYPES of customers. Like, the exact types you want right now, or to fit your playstyle, or to fit a certain level. Could be about servicing people in a hotel or restaurant or whatever …
Somewhat related to this other idea I had about the upgrade tree actually being the map you play on:

This could become more of a tower defense (island defense?) game than an incremental!
An incremental game where the tech tree === the game, makes a lot of sense to make every spot of the tech tree an ISLAND! (Maybe something about protecting the fish around it? Cleaning the water? Or actually fishing / killing monsters in the water?)
- YES that’s probably it. Every step in the tech tree is an island with one of three main purposes:
- SCAN ( = reveal where fishes are in the area around it, how many, what type, etc); because by default you just see water everywhere and have no clue where you should be. —> These scans ALSO show enemies or dangers or potential new connection points? Otherwise they might not be useful enough …
- FISH ( = actually gather fishes, at a certain speed, in a certain range, of a certain type); because by default it only has a tiny range and only gathers the one default type of fish.
- DEFENSE/SUPPLY ( = defend against big sharks destroying parts of your islands or whatever; or these types are required to actually move resources to other places??)
- (Something with TOURISM or CLIMATE? Maybe HOUSING? Maybe the actual PEOPLE that should be fed with those fish play a role?)
It’s a better/more thematic implementation of the Tech Town/Tech Throne idea that I also moved to Factory of Ideas.
