Miscellaneous Incremental Ideas

A bunch of ideas for incremental games that never got far enough to receive their own file/page of notes. Too vague at the time, not better than some other idea I had, whatever the reason.

@IDEA: Is an incremental game about SCHOOL/LEARNING at all possible?

  • Skill tree would be a literal skill tree
  • Learning new stuff would allow you to actually apply it in-game for some bonus/effect

@IDEA: Is an incremental “run a shop” or “run a restaurant” game possible? In a highly simplified/abstracted manner so I only need to show basic food icons?

@IDEA: A plant generator/grower but from the side (2D view)? This simplifies the viewpoint and options enough that it opens up more intricate (educational?) mechanics such as managing soil quality, watering, providing sunlight, planting precisely, etcetera in an incremental game.

@IDEA: Incremental golf? Incremental bowling? Incremental darts?

@IDEA: Hacking Inc? An incremental game about trying to hack a company. The further you get, the more points. But it will take some extra gear, and knowledge, and better computers etc to beat each level.

@IDEA RELATED: Digital Jungle. I just really like that saying. The idea of combining nature and hacking, the idea of “saving” a digital jungle. But what would the actual game be??

@IDEA: “Zone Out”. Some incremental/idle/cozy game that is clearly meant to waste time, fill time, zone out, a little distraction. That’s the whole schtick and marketing angle.

@IDEA: PYRAMID INC => Something about growing pyramids taller/smaller, moving them around, positioning them around the nile, crocodiles, ??
