See The Løvely Lakes

An incremental game where you literally start by seeing only a tiny rectangle of the screen, and have to upgrade to see more and more, making the game “more playable”.

We can just cover the screen with a grid of squares. (Optionally a shader or some polish to round the edges and fade them.)

  • When you buy the main upgrade, another random square reveals itself.
  • Map/visit the entire lake/shore to beat it (and advance to the next one).
  • With this limited sight you have to chase after prey/fish/targets that you see from the corner of your eye. (Loch Ness monster sightings?)

We might be able to do multiple biomes (one lake, one underground, etcetera) and combine it with the following idea.

Let There Be Light: The map starts completely dark and unknown. Place lanterns strategically to see what’s happening at all. Mine the good stuff, destroy the bad stuff, to slowly bring light back into the land.

Lovely Lakes?

Title was inspired by that Monty Python bit:

Wi nøt trei a høliday in Sweden this yër?

Including the majestik møøse

A møøse once bit my sister…
