Sharkwatch

Alternative names: “Shark Eyes” / “Sharkshooter” / “Lifeguard”

  • You’re running a beach. There are sharks. People are drowning.
  • Click on people in the water to save them.
  • Once you’ve saved enough people, your next click is an “exterminator” to get rid of a shark?
  • The issue is that sharks and people are hard to find. They can go underwater.
    • You only get shadows, silhouettes, bubbles floating up if someone is (deep) underwater.
    • You can hold your mouse in some place to make whatever is below “come to the surface”. (Either hovering or holding down click, not sure.)
    • Sharks go up and down. They only move horizontally or vertically because I don’t feel like drawing the other sprites for that.
  • With upgrades,
    • You can click faster, in a larger radius, grabbing people from further under water.
    • Hovering will make things come to the surface more quickly
    • You get a scanner to find sharks.
    • Your exterminator appears more quickly, is more powerful, in a bigger range, etcetera.
    • Maaaaybe you have a literal boat that has to reach people to save them? And this boat can become faster, hold more people, etcetera?

It feels like it has potential, but now I’m treating an incremental game too much like a roguelike …
