Two players sit opposite each other: a 1v1 battle. Each starts with a big heart at their backline to protect.
- You have an “inventory” of towers/defenders/units that starts with just 1.
- By tapping any location you can place your current frontmost unit there.
- Each unit has a timer. It remains fixed in place until it’s done, then it returns to the end of your inventory.
- Units shoot arrows/projectiles all around + soak up attacks from the enemy.
- Hit precious stuff, or stuff in the environment, to get more money for more towers.
- Hit the heart enough times to win the game.
Probably makes more sense if the heart wanders of its own accord, right? (And its movement might or might not be shown ahead of time, like a path or destination arrow.)
Dumbdrops
Similar to Saveheart, just a different mechanic underneath it.
- You must shoot your soldiers into the battle field. (From your backline/corner of the screen.)
- (So there’s a large skill factor in actually aiming + gaining speed to get it exactly where you need.)
- Once there, each type of soldier does one thing and one thing only.
- A = walks to nearest enemy and attacks until dead
- B = walks to nearest building, ignores units
- C = rooted to the spot, shoots whatever comes into range.
- D = etc
