A One Button Game: you play with multiple people behind the same screen, each player gets exactly one button.
2D side-view arena. You play a simple soccer game, or maybe just “carry objects X to Y”.
Here’s the trick:
All the “platforms” are CONVEYOR BELTS.
That’s how you move around automatically without needing a button for it! When your character lands on the platform, it’s simply taken with it, following the automatic conveyor belt. (As such, the idea might be named Conveyor Beltball too.)
What does your one button do?
- BUTTON PRESS = switch the direction of your current conveyor belt?
- BUTTON HOLD AND RELEASE = jump (longer hold = bigger jump; you carry momentum from belt into that jump)
A creative way to move around a simple arena, perhaps playing a sport or just trying to stay alive.
