A game where you have to “clean up” a space by tucking stuff into treasure chests, or drawers, or depots, or bookshelves, or whatever.
Because … whatever is NOT put away nicely disappears when night comes.
And during the night you have to RETRIEVE some of the things you put away to fight monsters/complete objectives/whatever. So, you want a GOOD SYSTEM for where stuff is and how it’s sorted, and good cooperation and memory, to find the thing you wanted quickly.
In this form, it’s a cooperative online multiplayer game, somewhat cozy/relaxing (especially if you can turn off the night portion).
But it could also be a puzzle platformer or action game where everything is done through books and paper.
- The idea of using MASSIVE CHUNKY BOOKS as large objects is very interesting.
- Moving platforms = books.
- Attack = throw book.
- Stack books = a way to get to higher places.
- Learn new skills = find the book that contains this information and read it.
- Etcetera
Inspired by Monk Took Book. The name “Book It” is obviously a pun on the expression that means to run away / flee / make a run for it.
