Players are part of the same neighborhood/street. The screen literally shows a bunch of houses ( + gardens) next to each other. (Either in a row, or in a square with all houses meeting in the center.)
All players are tapped into the same networks for gas, water, electricity, etcetera. This means they need to work together to get certain things (done) … but also that there’s never enough supply for everyone.
They all have (secret) objectives, from simply wanting to watch TV or having a clean lawn, to taking revenge on the neighbor to their left.
The player to score the most points once the round is over, wins.
IDEA: This could be the strongest one => those gas/water/electricity things all appear in the form of pipelines. These must be built and maintained … and might take a detour through your neighbor’s garden.
- Additionally, people might want to install “boosters” to get more, but those cost money.
- In general, people just try to complete their tasks and maintain a household. Failing to do so, by consuming too much electricity, or not having enough money, or creating too much garbage leads to point penalties and fines and stuff.
The visual is simply: cute house + lawn in a square or around a central place. You’re minding your own business, but you’re all connected to each other and need the same supplies. Another example: a garbage truck that goes by all houses, but will fine you if you have “too much garbage”.
It’s about fulfilling your own tasks, while (secretly) stealing from your neighbours.
Alternatively, this could become a coop game, but I don’t know exactly how that would work or be different from my previous games.
