Shape Station

An educational puzzle game idea to teach shapes (and logical thinking / problem solving, like all puzzles). The name is a pun on “Space Station”.

The screen shows a simple path/constellation of points and lines between them. Like a polygon, with all vertices large circles.

  • You are a vehicle/spaceship/whatever that moves from vertex to vertex.
  • On your “turn”, you must tap one vertex (which can have all sorts of consequences) –> then the spaceship auto-moves again.
    • Perhaps some vertices are “superspeed” and will move you more, some will freeze you, etc we can play with that too.

Your goal is simply to complete the entire path (no obstructions, no blockage, no endless moves needed). Visit every vertex of the shape, get back home = where you started.

In its simplest mode, tapping a vertex might just remove the content or weaken the monster inside. (And then some monsters/moons/whatever can ONLY be removed when the game is in a certain state. Like, maybe it alternates between DAY and NIGHT.)

This could probably work … but it’s not really a puzzle unless you add a few more rules (like the one above), at which point it becomes too complicated for the target audience.
